FKA is seeking a full‑time Service Operations Director in Edmonton to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of agency work across creative and media teams.

FKA is a marketing and communications agency headquartered in Edmonton with team members in Alberta and Ontario. Our core purpose is Executing Ambition — recognizing the potential in every person and organization and channelling our collective talents to help them succeed. We’re proud of the collaborative culture we’ve built and the quality of work we produce, and we continue to invest in the systems and people that support that work.

The Service Operations Director plays a key role in ensuring production work moves efficiently through the agency by aligning project timelines, team capacity, and production requirements across internal teams and external vendors. This role works closely with Client Services, Design, and Media teams to coordinate internal and external resources, maintain project momentum, and support production processes from initiation through delivery.

This position is responsible for agency‑wide resourcing, ensuring project teams are appropriately staffed, timelines are realistic, and capacity gaps are proactively addressed before they impact delivery.

As Service Operations Director, you will:

Lead the assignment of work across Creative and Design teams in partnership with departmental VPs, based on project timelines and available capacity

Coordinate internal teams and external vendors on integrated campaigns and production projects

Ensure project teams have clarity on deliverables, dependencies, and deadlines

Lead or work closely with the Client Service team members to develop and maintain project timelines, scopes, and project estimates

Support video and audio production logistics, scheduling, and coordination

Lead in identifying and sourcing vendors in partnership with the creative and design team to support project needs

Proactively and regularly monitor agency‑wide capacity and identify resourcing gaps

Coordinate contractor sourcing or internal reallocation to help address capacity needs

Improve production workflows and trafficking processes over time

Oversee Service Delivery Managers to ensure work is appropriately resourced across the Creative team in alignment with project timelines and priorities

Candidates should possess:

5 years of experience in marketing, advertising, or production management roles

Demonstrated experience in managing integrated advertising campaigns that include production of television, radio, printed materials, digital assets, and others

Experience supporting the execution of digital campaigns or production projects

Proven ability to manage timelines and coordinate multiple stakeholders

Experience working with resourcing workflows or project management systems

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Clear, practical communication skills and sound judgment

Comfort working in fast‑paced environments with shifting priorities

Assets include:

Experience coordinating large‑scale video or audio production

Experience working with external vendors or contractors

Experience supporting digital advertising or content production projects

Work arrangement
This role is based in downtown Edmonton and follows a hybrid work model, with three days per week in the office.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $91,700 to $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

FKA offers a collaborative, supportive agency environment with competitive compensation, health benefits, group RRSP matching and opportunities for professional development. We solicit feedback regularly and value clarity, accountability, and respect in how we work together.

We are an equal‑opportunity employer, deeply committed to improving diversity in our workplace and industry. We encourage you to take the time to read our most recent diversity report and learn more about the actions we have taken to improve diversity, equity and inclusion.
