Job Duties:
Performs manual labour shovelling, loadind, unloading and setting up heavy items, cleaning, and weed control)Operates small to medium equipment.Conducts pre and post operational check on all assigned equipmentEnsuring excellent customer service & maintaining professional relations with internal staff and external customers.Working outdoors exposed to dust, noise, adverse weather conditions.Participating in special projects and other duties as needed.Want to be a part of our County team?
Qualifications:
Grade 121 - 2 years related work experience in a safety sensitive environment.First Aid, TDG, WHMIS safety ticketsAbility to frequently lift, move, push, pull items up to 50lbsAbility to work well independently and as part of a team.Hold strong communications, teamwork, customer service and conflict management skills.Hold a Class 5 driver's license.Willingness to work outside in noisy, dusty, windy, or wet conditions under pressure with constant change and distractions.Ability to work with variable work loads and produce timely and accurate documentation.Demonstrate a high level of professionalism when dealing with the public.
