We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our High Prairie OSB Division, located in High Prairie, Alberta
. Our mill has undergone an exciting major rebuild and modernization including the commissioning of a new continuous press which will make us the most modern mill in North America.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • University degree/technical diploma or a Journeyperson trades certification or extensive experience in a relevant field.
  • Management experience leading maintenance teams within manufacturing.
  • Experience with maintenance planning, condition monitoring, shutdown execution and implementing reliability programs
    .
  • Experience with project management
    , including capital projects.
  • Experience maintaining a large maintenance budget
    .
  • Proven ability to manage change
    .
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and maintenance processes
    .
  • Knowledge and experience in OSB manufacturing is an asset.

In this role you will:

  • Be responsible for planning and organizing maintenance activities
    .
  • Lead and promote a strong safety‑first culture
    , ensuring all maintenance work complies with provincial OH&S legislation and company standards.
  • Manage the safe, reliable, and cost‑effective maintenance of OSB mill equipment and facilities.
  • Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Oversee maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution
    , including planned shutdowns and major repairs
    .
  • Lead, coach, and develop a skilled maintenance team
    , supporting training, certification, and skill growth.
  • Monitor equipment performance and downtime
    , conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure effective use of the CMMS for work orders, asset history,
    preventive maintenance
    , and parts tracking.
  • Prepare and manage the maintenance operating and capital budgets
    , balancing cost control with reliability.
  • Track and report key maintenance performance indicators
    , including uptime, PM compliance, and maintenance costs
    .
  • Support capital projects
    , equipment upgrades, and reliability improvements in collaboration with operations and engineering.
  • Coordinate and manage external contractors and service providers,
    ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
  • Maintain clear communication and strong collaboration with operations
    , leadership, and support teams.
