Forklift Operator

.The Forklift Operator is responsible for utilizing a forklift to move materials around a storage yard, factory, or similar location. The Forklift Operator is also responsible for loading and unloading trucks, conducting minor maintenance work, assisting with inventory documentation, and supporting full adherence to safety compliance regulations.

** Ability to readily determine the correct tools and equipment needed to do a job.

Perform all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations and Code.

Perform other duties as assigned.
** Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities*
* * Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a forklift operator in a warehouse/shipping environment with a VALID forklift license from an accredited training program (class 1, 4,
5).
* Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
* Able to communicate well in English via radio and in-person. Clear speech.
* Knowledge of safe lifting and handling techniques.
* Must be able to carry and move equipment and/or supplies in excess of 40 pounds.
* Able to work independently and in team.
