MULTI-REC CENTRE PARKS OPERATOR
Permanent Fulltime
The Town of Slave Lake is looking for an energetic and responsible individual to join our team as a Multi-Rec Centre Parks Operator to provide and maintain high-quality recreation and leisure facilities and parks. This role may require working days, afternoons, evenings and/or weekends.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide excellent customer service by using good public relations skills.Foster good relations with other staff, management, and the public.Operate ice surface equipment and cleaning equipment in a safe and efficient manner.Maintain MRC and all parks/green spaces to industry and/or legislated standards.Operate all the appropriate MRC/Parks equipment and perform related duties in accordance with the manufacturer’s operator manuals, Occupational Health and Safety regulations and Town safety policies.Perform janitorial duties as required.Performs maintenance duties as delegated.Maintain all tools and equipment in accordance with the owner/operator manuals.Perform related duties as required.QUALIFICATIONS /
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Grade 12 education.Current First Aid/CPR, or ability to attain it prior to employment commencing.Ability/willingness to be trained to operate ice surfacing equipment and small equipment safely and efficiently.Valid Class Five (5) Alberta Drivers License or equivalent.Satisfactory Criminal Record CheckExperience working in a recreation facility or arena is considered an asset.SKILLS REQUIRED:
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.Must be willing and able to work in inclement weather.Must be physically fit.Good verbal communications and public relations skillsAbility to work independently.Note:

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
Exerts moderate physical effort on occasion.Works in all types of environments – closed spaces, chemical storage areas, building system rooms, and cold ice surfaces.May be required to adjust hours of work to accommodate special events and other uses scheduled at facilities.May work alone.Work in high noise levelsMay be assigned an irregular work schedule, including weekends, early mornings, and evenings.
