Wilco is currently seeking multiple Heavy Equipment Technicians (HETs) to join our growing team. Successful candidates will work out of our fully equipped Edmonton facility, featuring overhead cranes, multiple lifts, and a clean, well-organized shop. The HET will perform some or all the following:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain fleet vehicles and equipment.
  • Work with Service Manager to prioritize and review repair orders to meet field demands.
  • Perform all repairs in a timely manner.
  • Perform diagnostics and strategize repairs.
  • Perform quality repairs and verify repairs before equipment leaving the shop.
  • Perform equipment repairs and service on site when necessary.
  • Keep detailed service reports and documentation.
  • Promote and carry out Wilco Safety Procedures and Documentation.

Requirements

  • Journeyman Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician.
  • On Road Certification is required.
  • 3-5 years HET experience, preferred.
  • Experience with fleet vehicles considered an asset.
  • Good with computers, smart devices and adaptive to new work order program.
  • Valid driver’s license, Class 1 or 3 preferred.
  • Must have the tools required to repair light trucks.
  • Rotating Shift Schedule with Overtime.
  • Able to work Saturdays during the busy season, most long weekends off.
