Position Summary

The successful candidate will be providing interpreting services for students in Kindergarten to Grade 12. This position will also provide interpreting services to staff, parents and visitors at meetings, professional development activities and all school functions.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

providing interpreting services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing

interpreting for staff, parents and visitors at meetings, professional development activities and school functions

providing interpreting services at multiple sites

preparing classroom interpretation activities and course materials

supporting the implementation of educational goals in the classroom

Education/Qualifications

a diploma in Sign Language Interpretation

membership in the Association of Visual Language Interpreters of Canada (AVLIC)

a minimum of two years of related experience preferably in an educational environment

excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills

proven success in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships

Rate of Pay

$ - $ per hour
