Business System Analyst, IT

The Business System Analyst (BSA) partners with business owners to design and implement efficient, end-to-end business processes supported by systems and technology. Working in a collaborative team environment, the BSA coordinates with vendors, technical teams, the Help Desk, business users, and project teams to ensure policies, procedures, and system configurations align with operational needs. When enhancements or changes are required, the BSA leads the change request process—assessing impacts, documenting requirements, and providing informed recommendations to the Director, Business Relations and Applications.

Location: Our corporate office based in Acheson, AB
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – providing the flexibility to work 3 days in office and 2 days remote per week.
Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000 per annum

Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day

What You’ll Do

This position may be required to provide occasional after hours support on a rotational basis.

This position is classified as an Individual Contributor
role in SMS Equipment’s competency framework, requiring demonstration of core competencies (customer focus, collaboration, and technical/functional expertise).

What You Bring

The successful applicant will have a post secondary education in a related field and at least 5 years of experience in a customer service environment. The applicant will also have experience with testing and troubleshooting applications
.Service Now experience, system programming and experience with analytics is an asset.
