Position: Intermediate Business Analyst to support a large-scale Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / Enterprise Asset Management
Our utilities client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support a large-scale Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) replacement program (Hybrid, Edmonton AB).
Overview:
This role will support an ERP/EAM replacement initiative that is currently in its pre-implementation and planning phase. The Senior Business Analyst will play a key role in process mapping, requirements definition, data migration planning, and supporting the development of a System Integrator RFP this year. If the program is approved to proceed, this role has strong potential to extend into a long-term, multi-year engagement supporting the full program lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Lead process mapping activities by working closely with business stakeholders and project teams to document current-state processes across defined functional areasFacilitate and lead end-user requirements workshops; document functional and non-functional requirements aligned to best practicesSupport development of the System Integrator (SI) RFP, contributing directly to documentation and evaluation inputs inWork with business and IT teams to identify, document, and validate data requirements for data migration from legacy systems into the new ERP/EAM platformSupport miscellaneous project and program activities as required, flexing across business analysis and testing support as priorities shiftIf the program proceeds, support future phases including solution validation, data migration execution, testing/QA support, end-user knowledge transfer, and deployment activitiesMust-Haves:
5+ years of experience in a Senior Business Analyst role on complex IT initiativesHands-on experience with large-scale ERP and/or EAM implementations or replacement programsStrong process mapping and requirements elicitation experience, including leading stakeholder workshopsExperience supporting data migration initiatives
, including defining data requirements and integration flowsStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear, structured program documentationAvailable to be onsite in Edmonton, AB 2 days/weekNice-to-Haves:
Experience supporting or contributing to System Integrator (SI) RFPsFamiliarity with basic database query tools (e.g., SQL or similar)10+ years of overall professional experience in information technology environmentsFlexibility to support both Business Analysis and Quality Assurance (testing) activities during project phases
