We currently have a temporary summer student position available for a Human Resources Assistant in our office. The duration of this role will be from approximately May 4th, 2026 – August 28th, 2026. Working with the Senior Human Resources Advisor, this role is an excellent opportunity for a post-secondary student looking to gain some practical, hands-on working experience.
What You’ll Do:
Work with the Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Advisor to support the recruitment process through conducting pre-screen interviews and conducting reference and background checks;Complete various administrative tasks related to the employee lifecycle;Participate in the digitization of employee files;Assist in the preparation for and attendance at potential job fairs and recruitment activities;Assist in completing research on a variety of HR topics including salary trends, legislative changes, etc.Track employee checklist and communicate any follow up needs for missing documentation;Other various human resources related duties as required.What You’ll Bring:
Must be currently enrolled in and returning to a related post-secondary program;Excellent computer literacy and keyboarding skills;Effective communication skills with an emphasis on customer service;Excellent organizational and time management skills;Attentive to detail;Ability to work effectively within a team;Demonstrates initiative and willingness to learn;Must be able to work from the office in our Downtown Edmonton location.What You’ll
