Junior Recruiter - Maternity Leave

Techmation Electric & Controls Ltd is currently hiring a Junior Recruiter for our Acheson, AB branch for an 18-month maternity leave coverage.

Techmation works on a variety of Industrial Construction and Maintenance projects throughout Western Canada.

As a Junior Recruiter you will be responsible for:

• Helping to develop recruiting strategies in order to identify qualified candidates through various recruiting tools
• Evaluating candidate skills compared to job requirements through screening and interviewing
• Complete necessary pre-employment processes such as reference and background checks, scheduling drug/alcohol/medical testing and verifying required certifications
• Schedule candidates for testing, safety certifications, orientations, and other employment requirements
• Recruit for multiple positions and locations at one time
• Maintaining the Applicant Tracking Systems with up to date information
• Assisting Corporate Recruiter, hiring managers, and candidates to streamline the hiring process
• Build and maintain relationships with post secondary institutions and universities for recruitment of new graduates
• Organize and attend career and job fairs/other recruiting related training
• Work closely with management to ensure up to date manpower needs are being met
• Design, administer and monitor advertising through various avenues such as print, social media, job boards, and radio

Qualifications:

• Have a relevant HR degree, OR at least 6 months related recruiting/HR experience
• Those with specific trades recruitment experience, such as electrical and instrumentation, would be considered an asset
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must have good phone etiquette and the ability to speak with active and passive candidates
• Excellent time management skills
• Prior experience working with an Applicant Tracking System is an asset (currently use Acquire
  
  TM)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Must have the ability to work independently and take initiative
