The Role

The Guest Activities Attendant is enthusiastic, creative, positive and outgoing. This individual is passionate about providing exceptional service for guests of all ages through a wide variety of activities. The successful candidate will be welcoming, engaging, and empowering. They are open to change, and quick to adapt to varying needs of hotel clientele.

Job Duties
  • Responsible for organizing and coordinating activities to engage our family guests of all ages.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, ability to plan, organize, and facilitate age-appropriate activities and games to keep children entertained and engaged throughout the day.
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
  • Be attentive to guests needs and issues, and proactively offer solutions or suggestions to enhance their experience.
  • Be comfortable to handle guest issues or complaints without assistance.
  • Facilitate activities for our guests including but not limited to campfires, movie nights, and holiday celebrations.
  • Oversee and provide attentive care to children participating in day camps, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of guest activities areas including kids center, campfires, and waterpark area.
  • Covering Pool Attendant shifts; responsible for creating a great guest experience and welcoming service while maintaining a clean, comfortable and inviting environment.
Employment Experience and Educational Requirements
  • The successful candidate will have 1+ years’ experience in a similar role within a resort.
  • The Ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children.
  • Passionate about creating “Above and Beyond” experiences for our guests.
  • Has their Alberta Pro Serve Certificate.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in temperatures ranging from
    -30 to +35 degrees Celsius.
  • Communicate comfortably with all individuals of all ages groups and levels of authority.
Physical Demands
  • Required to remain on their feet for the majority of the shift while leading and supporting both children and adult programming.
  • Frequent walking across resort grounds, working indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, i.e. Sun, rain, snow, wind.
  • Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, reach and repetitive use of hands and arms when setting up activity spaces, preparing program materials and supervising children.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and supplies, such as activity bins, sports gear, signage, tables, chairs, coolers, and portable program materials (often up to 25–50 lbs).
  • Able to respond quickly in dynamic environments, including moving efficiently between program areas, maintaining safe supervision of guests and managing high energy activities.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays based on business levels.
