The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a Recreation Assistant to join our Lifestyle Options - Leduc team on a casual basis. In this role, you’ll support the Recreation Therapist in delivering and implementing the recreation and leisure programs for our residents.

What you’ll do:

• Lead and assist with recreation programs, outings, and special events tailored to resident needs.
• Prepare materials, manage seasonal decorations, and support financial tracking for activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and ensure program materials are in good condition.
• Collaborate with the Recreation Therapy team and other staff members.
• Complete administrative tasks like daily stats and attend staff training sessions.

Qualifications
:

• Experience coordinating activities for seniors, including those with dementia.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High emotional intelligence and professionalism when interacting with residents and families.
• Physically capable of performing job duties and operating related equipment.
• Organized, able to multitask, and work well in diverse environments.
• Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings and weekends.
