What We Need:

Are you a passionate and driven finance leader ready to make your mark?

We're looking for a Manager of Accounting & Finance to take the reins of our core financial operations. In this pivotal role, you'll report to the Controller and guide a talented team of three. You will provide leadership and oversight for core accounting and finance functions including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Treasury, and more, ensuring accuracy and championing continuous improvement.

What you’ll bring:

  • Undergraduate degree and CPA designation required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in accounting and finance.
  • Experience managing AR, AP, Treasury, GL maintenance, expense reporting, and month-end close.
  • Experience with ERP systems and accounting software implementation;
    Epicor experience considered an asset.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to develop effective relationships at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • What you’ll do:

    Financial Management and Oversight:

  • Manage core accounting functions:
    Oversee AR, AP, Treasury, Expense Reporting, and GL maintenance to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal controls and corporate policies.
  • Month-end and year-end close:
    Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare and present financial reports:
    Develop and deliver comprehensive financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual results, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights for management decision-making.
  • Lead statutory audits and compliance:
    Coordinate external audits and ensure adherence to corporate taxation, regulatory requirements, and internal control standards.
  • Implement best practices, policies, and procedures:
    Establish and enforce financial best practices to enhance operational efficiency and compliance across all accounting functions.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes:
    Assist in preparing and reviewing budgets and forecasts by providing historical data, validating assumptions, and ensuring accuracy.
  • Monitor working capital and cash flow:
    Provide oversight of cash management activities, including bank reconciliations, liquidity planning, and treasury operations.
  • Financial Systems, Process Improvement and

    Collaboration:

  • Identify and implement process improvements:
    Drive continuous improvement initiatives for financial processes and reporting tools to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Leverage financial systems:
    Utilize ERP systems (Epicor experience considered an asset) and other financial tools to manage and analyze data effectively.
  • Support system implementations:
    Assist with the integration and optimization of financial systems and tools to improve automation and reporting capabilities.
  • Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a team of three direct reports:
    Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to ensure professional growth and high performance.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and annual performance reviews.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Support talent development within the finance team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
