Volunteer Board Member – Treasurer
SJS Canada (SJSC) seeks a dedicated Volunteer Treasurer to join the Board of Directors. The Treasurer will oversee the financial operations, ensure compliance with Canadian charity financial regulations, and contribute to the overall fiscal health of the organization.
Time CommitmentBoard term: 2 years minimum, with option for renewal. Regular meetings every 4‑6 weeks via Zoom.

- Oversee the financial operations of SJSC, ensuring compliance with Canadian charity financial regulations.
- Prepare annual budget and provide accurate financial reports to the Board.
- Assist with fundraising initiatives and sign authority for specified organizational documents.
- Attend regular Board meetings and prepare tax receipts for eligible donations.
- Experience with non‑profit financial management and/or fundraising.
- CPA certification recommended (but not required).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Previous experience on a non‑profit Board recommended.
