Theatre Yes Seeks Interim Producer

Theatre Yes is an award-winning boutique theatre company, created to take bold artistic risks. Our work shines a light on modern life, exploring and celebrating contemporary experience in the context of the larger global community. Theatre Yes produces work for intimate, dynamic, and often unconventional venues. We are a company of innovators who push artistic boundaries in form and content as an artistic practice.

Theatre Yes is seeking an Interim Producer for a six-month term from January to June 2020 (subject to renewal as negotiated). The position is a part-time contract position, 20 hours per week with a remuneration of $1,600 per month. The producer will be responsible for conducting the day-to-day business of the company under the direction of the outgoing Artistic Director, with a specific focus on coordinating the company’s annual Casino event on April 18 & 19 2020, as well as producing Theatre Yes’ upcoming production of TELL US WHAT HAPPENED, which runs May 14 to 24, 2020 at La Cité Francophone.

Duties will focus on the day-to-day business of the company, including: contracting, scheduling, communication with and oversight of artists and contractors;
Canadian Actors’ Equity Association business; payroll; collaborating to create and implement publicity and marketing activities; monitoring budgets; managing and overseeing the execution and reconciliation of production expenses and revenue; maintaining relationships with community partners; maintaining communication platforms; planning and overseeing outreach activities; box office set up and monitoring; AGLC business and volunteer recruitment; grant writing, reporting and fundraising as negotiated.
