The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for ensuring that all purchased materials and components meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role works closely with suppliers to drive continuous improvement, resolve quality issues, and maintain compliance with company specifications.
What you will do:
Supplier Quality Management - Develop and maintain supplier quality standards and ensure compliance with company requirements.
Audits & Assessments - Conduct supplier audits and evaluations to verify adherence to quality systems and regulatory standards.
Issue Resolution- Investigate and resolve supplier-related quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Continuous Improvement- Collaborate with suppliers to implement process improvements and reduce defects.
Documentation & Reporting- Maintain accurate records of supplier performance, audits, and corrective actions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration- Work with procurement, engineering, and production teams to align quality requirements and resolve issues.
New Supplier Qualification -Support onboarding and qualification of new suppliers, including capability assessments.
Metrics & Monitoring - Track and report supplier quality metrics (e.g., defect rates, on-time delivery, audit scores).
Travel required - 50%
What you need :
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain or related field.
5+ years of experience in supplier quality or manufacturing quality engineering.
Knowledge of quality standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.) and regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in quality tools (FMEA, PPAP, SPC, Root Cause Analysis).
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
