SUMMARY OF THE ROLEMammoet is looking for task-oriented and enthusiastic individuals to join our team in the Edmonton region. Working with Project Engineers and reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Junior Engineer provides technical direction to Mammoet projects through the preparation of critical lift, heavy transport and jack & slide execution drawings, calculations and procedures in accordance with Mammoet and client policies.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOINGResponsibilities will vary depending on the department but may include:
Using your expertise to develop best-in-class engineering solutions for heavy lifting and transportation projectsWorking with both conventional methodologies and developing new approachesDeveloping drawings using Auto Cad along with in-house software toolsDeveloping calculations, visualizations, manuals, risk assessments and other key documentsEnsuring efficient execution that delivers the right results for the customerWHAT YOU’LL NEEDEducation & Experience
Experience in engineering operation practices and systems, Heavy lift and transport equipment, industry relevant codes and standardsEnglish, fluent proficiency verbal and writtenEvidence of experience in a similar role, ideally in any/some of the following sectors: civil engineering, construction, renewables, oil and gas, offshore, ports and mining, is preferred0-3 years of relevant work experienceA bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Civil/Structural EngineeringEligible for registration with APEGA as Engineer-in-TrainingCharacteristics of a Successful candidate:

This will be a permanent position operating out of Edmonton office and local sites working Monday to Friday with possible rotational shift requirements. The successful candidate must have his or her own transportation.
