Work will primarily focus on supporting Energy (e.g., Power & Dams, Renewables, Transmission & Distribution), Mining and Oil and Gas projects. The GIS Analyst determines client needs and proposes optimal GIS and geospatial technologies and solutions to meet business needs.

123, Python, Arcade, etc…) and cross platform integrations (e.g., Power BI).

  • Balance a high level of creativity with adherence to established Stantec GIS standards and best practices.

  • Ability and interest to actively engage in a team environment.

  • Always be persistent and diligent about quality, both in one’s own work and the work of others.

  • Actively engage with immediate GIS team and greater GIS community, both locally and beyond, staying aware of the state of practice, new tools and technology, and opportunities for growth.

  • Adapt to changes in project schedule, scope, and cost, and be willing to work non-traditional hours as needed.

  • Maintain a high regard for personal safety and the safety of others.

    Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Strong understanding of foundational GIS principles and skills.

  • Solid foundation in coordinate system projections and transformations.
