3D Construction Specialist

The 3D Construction Specialist supports FLINT’s design and construction activities by combining 3D laser scanning and CAD-based modeling to produce accurate construction and as-built deliverables. Based in Whitecourt, AB, this permanent full-time role begins January 12, 2026, and follows a Monday–Friday schedule, 8-hours workdays with LOA or travel pay, and benefits following 300 hours of work. The position is hybrid and requires field travel to operating and remote facilities.

Responsibilities include collecting field data using 3D scanners and total stations, developing 3D models and fabrication drawings, updating as-builts, and coordinating technical information with project teams and site operations to ensure safe, constructible, and accurate outputs.

• Journeyperson Pipefitter certification with Oil & Gas experience and strong knowledge of piping systems, P&IDs, and structural steel.
• Proficient with CAD software and 3D tools, including CADWorx, Spool Fab/Acorn, Plant 3D, and Navisworks, with strong 3D visualization, attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work in both office and field environments, including travel to remote locations, and physically capable of performing demanding tasks in varying site conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, with a clean 5-year Driver’s Abstract (under 6 demerits).
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Mandatory safety certifications: H2S Alive, Common Safety Orientation (CSO), Standard First Aid, and WHMIS.

This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
