A Day in the Life:
Reporting to the Chief Steam Engineer this position is responsible for testing and monitoring various boiler house equipment as an assistant shift engineer. Steam time for 4th or 3rd class will be provided. This is a temporary summer position.
Position Details:
The hourly rate is and schedule is Monday to Friday from 7am to 3:30pm
What You'll Be Doing:
Perform boiler, cooling tower, and effluent water testing each shiftAdvise changes to the process based on the water testing resultsEffective use of proper PPE required for the tasksMonitor Boilerhouse and cooling tower equipment and flowsTrace steam, condensate, utility water, compressed air flows as part of assignmentsPrepare equipment for maintenance as requiredObserve equipment in or out of service as required for production or maintenanceObserve and/or perform routine blowdownsWash production areas as directed and scheduled each shiftAdjust boiler room and cooling tower chemicals dosage as requiredPerform or assist with operational readingsPerform housekeeping duties required as part of the Food Safety ProgramsComplete duties listed on cleaning scheduleAssist with monthly and annual shutdown tasksParticipate in the daily safety tool box talksAdditional duties as requiredSkill/Experience Requirements:
