Sturgeon Public Schools is currently seeking a Full-Time Temporary Educational Assistant 2 for a work assignment at Redwater School.

Located in the Town of Redwater, the school serves approximately 300 students in Grades 5–12 with a dedicated staff of 25. Redwater School fosters a well‑rounded approach to education, emphasising arts, academics, athletics, entrepreneurship, and citizenship. Community spirit is at the heart of the school, encouraging students to “Make a Difference” while pursuing their unique paths to success.

• Support students with diverse learning needs under the direction of the classroom teacher
• Provide academic, behavioural, and social support in individual and small group settings
• Assist students in developing classroom and life skills
• Monitor, encourage, and document student progress
• Support strategies for students with Autism, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), and other varying abilities
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and caring classroom environment

• Educational Assistant or Early Childhood Diploma/Certificate
• Experience supporting students with autism or diverse learning needs
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Training in Autism, Behaviour Management, and TCIS
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team
• Patience, empathy, and a commitment to student success
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
• Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
