Job Description
The Safety Solution Specialist is responsible for the health and safety of field workers and aids the company in achieving safety excellence. This individual will assist sites in identifying potential hazards and recommend responsible solutions to mitigate the identified hazards. They are responsible for ensuring OH&S and Chandos compliance.
Responsibilities
Support health and safety of field workers and promote safety excellence.
Assist sites in identifying potential hazards and recommend responsible solutions to mitigate identified hazards.
Ensure OH&S and Chandos compliance across sites.
Collaborate with superintendents, PMs, and foremen to align safety practices.
Provide field-level coaching and mentorship on safety procedures.
Assist with development of TRA, FLHA, and JHA documentation.
Support compliance with prime contractor obligations and subtrade coordination and onboarding.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field.
(CRSP) - Registered safety professional an asset
National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certification is required.
5+ years of varied construction safety experience. Commercial, Industrial
Comprehensive knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
Collaboration with superintendents/PMs/foremen
Field-level coaching and mentorship skills
Experience with TRA/FLHA/JHA development
Experience with prime contractor obligations
Knowledge of subtrade coordination and onboarding
