- Sourcing, screening, and selecting Craft/Trades applicants to fit project-specific requirements
- Extending offers and completing all related correspondence and onboarding requirements for skilled craft
- Assisting with the placement of skilled labour, including transfers between projects and updating labour tracking systems accordingly
- Analyzing, understanding, and applying labour agreements
- Assisting in the site mobilization of successful Craft/Trades personnel
- Verifying Technical and Safety Qualifications
- Performing administrative duties such as scanning, tracking, completing forms, and taking meeting minutes.
- Creating and maintaining confidential hard and electronic files
- Fostering positive relationships with colleagues, clients, Building Trade organizations, and subcontractors
- Effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders, as required and developing and maintaining strong, customer-focused relationships with key stakeholders and all decision-makers
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years in labour relations or related field preferred
- Must be able to work independently or in a team environment in a highly fast-paced environment
- Be able to navigate the various Microsoft Office applications proficiently
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills, high level of detail orientation, and ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting deadlines
- Be able to shift priorities seamlessly, have a keen eye for detail and be able to maintain a professional demeanor at all times
- We appreciate that non-traditional career paths may have developed a candidate’s competency and alternate combinations of education and experience may be considered
- Previous experience in labour relations and unionized environments (Preferred)
- Previous Craft/Trade recruitment experience (Preferred)
