We are seeking a Vice President, Business Development. This role may be based in Edmonton, AB or the Greater Toronto Area. This is a national leadership opportunity for a senior executive who thrives on strategic influence, partnership development, and building scalable programs. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping growth strategy and driving measurable impact across the organization.
Overview of Role The Vice President, Business Development is a pivotal senior leadership role responsible for shaping and advancing Groupex’s growth strategy in support of Canada’s independent food service community. The role focuses on strategic business development initiatives and oversees the direction of supplier partnerships and relations, sourcing strategies, and value‑driven programs that strengthen Groupex’s market position and deepen member impact. This role works closely with an integral executive team as well as staff, the VP provides insight and guidance on opportunities that enhance competitiveness, elevate member value, and respond to shifting industry dynamics.
This role is more matrix management requiring strong influencing skills across all lines of business. This leader will anticipate market trends, cultivate high‑impact relationships, and champion innovative approaches that reinforce Groupex’s mandate as a trusted, nationally recognized purchasing organization. This role can be based in Edmonton, AB or the Greater Toronto Area.
