The Regulatory Compliance, Quality Assurance and Business Supports (RQB) Division with the Program Information, Evaluation and Performance (PIEP) Branch within the Children and Family Services (CFS) Ministry is seeking a change management specialist to provide strategic and tactical support on a series of priority CFS initiatives related to data and digital strategy.
The duties of the position include:
The Change Management Specialist works with project teams, business areas, and leadership to create strategies, map, and develop content to effectively analyze and execute significant change initiatives. This role needs to understand all aspects of the change and may include engagement/consultation, analysis, identification of risks, and developing various options to successfully transition target stakeholders from identified current states to a future state.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide strategic support to the Program Information, Evaluation and Performance Branch;
- Ensure that appropriate change management strategies and recommendations are developed for all priority initiatives as defined by the ministry;
- Create project plans, presentations and content to effectively analyze and execute change initiatives from start to finish;
- Collaborate with the business area to develop project schedule plans and strategies, estimate resource requirements, develop, and monitor work plans for completion of change management work for multiple projects;
- Collaborate with project sponsors, project teams, key stakeholders, vendors and cross-ministry teams to conduct various change and project management activities;
- Contribute to risk and issues management identification and response strategies;
- Engage and assess key stakeholders. Develop a stakeholder analysis;
- Conduct change impact and change readiness analyses;
- Support business analysts and assist project teams with the development and execution of change management strategies and plans that include communication strategies, schedules, and training activities related to associated training.
- Regularly collaborate with, and report/present to, project leads and senior leadership on the status and progress of the change plan, as well as identify issues, risks, opportunities, and barriers relating to change management functions.
- Communicate timely and appropriate information to all stakeholders and audiences throughout the duration of the projects. This may include planning and facilitating meetings to various levels of leadership.
- Participate in monitoring the projects and change management, complete with a recommended escalation strategy.
