** The City of Edmonton is looking for a proactive and collaborative professional to join the Integrated Infrastructure Services department. As a Strategic Business Partner, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our city by bridging the gap between high-level strategy and daily operations. You will work closely with leadership to ensure our department's goals align with the city’s long-term vision while remaining fiscally responsible.

* * Contribute to the development of department and branch business strategies in alignment with the City’s Strategic Planning Framework
* Lead and facilitate business planning processes, translating corporate direction into actionable plans for various branches
* Develop, implement, and monitor performance measures to identify trends and recommend corrective actions for service delivery
* Collaborate with financial teams to ensure business planning is integrated with budget processes
* Identify, monitor, and report on risks and mitigation plans to ensure operational safety and efficiency
* Facilitate the creation and update of policies, supporting audits and Council reports as required
* Act as a trusted advisor to collaborators across the organization, providing expertise on strategic and corporate plans  Qualifications :  
* University degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Public Administration, Planning, Humanities, or a related discipline
* A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in strategic and operational business planning, risk management, and performance measurement
* Proven experience in interpreting financial data and developing business cases   
** Assets**:

* Previous leadership, facilitation, and project management experience within a public sector environment   
** Skills required for success**:

* Considerable knowledge of the business planning cycle, policy development, and benchmarking procedures
* Strong ability to synthesize complex data into meaningful insights that support decision-making
* Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to build consensus among people with varying levels of expertise
* Proven ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and manage integrated projects effectively
* Ability to build strong working relationships and provide confident advice to senior leadership

** Conditions of Employment**:

* A Police Information Clearance that is satisfactory to the City of Edmonton and is a requirement of this position, there may be a cost associated with this requirement

* This position is primarily sedentary and performed in a standard office setting
* This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with the flexibility to work from both home and the worksite.
