Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position with night shifts and required floating between facilities.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting

• Cares for Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and normal newborn patients

• Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3

• Handles vaginal and cesarean deliveries, OB triage, couplet care, and high and low-risk antepartum/L&D cases

• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30

• Floating to other units and facilities within the state is required

• Epic EMR system experience required

• Responsible for comprehensive patient care in L&D, newborn, and postpartum settings

• Must be able to float between all facilities within the state as required

• Returning employees must be separated from any Providence-affiliated health system for a minimum of 3 months and not reside within 50 miles of the facility

• Requested time off must be submitted at the time of application and is subject to approval

• Compliance with all health, vaccine, and documentation requirements is expected

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery, LDRP, Postpartum, and newborn care experience required

• Certifications required: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), NRP; ACLS preferred

• Must have experience circulating, starting IVs, and administering blood and medications such as insulin and magnesium sulfate

• Ability to circulate in the OR and operate epidural and PCA pumps

• Must provide a minimum of two supervisory references covering one year of recent employment in a comparable specialty
