Estate Planning Associate – Edmonds, WA

Sound Estate Planning is seeking an associate to join its thriving estate planning practice located in downtown Edmonds. We serve the Puget Sound area.

We pride ourselves in delivering an exceptional client experience. Our clients receive a broad range of estate planning services, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, asset protection, estate and gift tax solutions, and charitable giving. We are seeking an associate who can handle estate planning and administration matters with increasing autonomy and direct client interaction. As this is a small, but vibrant practice, the role offers significant opportunities for growth and leadership.

• At least 2 years of relevant experience or LLM in Estate Planning and / or Taxation.
• Familiarity with the Internal Revenue Code and Treasury Regulations relevant to estate and gift tax planning (we do not prepare or file tax returns).
• Strong academic performance, attention to detail, and strong analytical, research, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Handling various types of estate and trust matters, including the drafting of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance health care directives, and related documents.
• Handling trust and estate administration, including probate.
• Office presence (this is not a remote position).

• Starting annual salary range is $100,000 - $125,000 (depending upon qualifications and experience)
