Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring at least two years of LDRP, L&D, postpartum, and newborn care experience and a current WA or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit providing care for laboring, antepartum, postpartum, OB triage, and normal newborn patients,

• Staffing ratio ranges from 1:1 to 1:3,

• Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts (19:00-07:30),

• Required to float as needed between facilities within the state,

• Special procedures include vaginal and cesarean deliveries, OR circulation, adult IV starts, administration of blood products, management of drains and epidural pumps, PCA pumps, and magnesium sulfate,

• Care includes couplet care and high-risk obstetric situations,

• Uses Epic EMR;
Epic experience required,

Job Requirements

• Active WA or compact state RN license,

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in LDRP, labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care,

• Certifications required: BLS, AWHONN Intermediate, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), and NRP; ACLS preferred,

• Experience with circulating in C-sections and fetal heart monitoring required,

• Ability to start IVs and manage specialized obstetric procedures,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include providing comprehensive care across intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn populations, circulating in the OR, and administering specialized obstetric medications,

• Former perm staff of any Providence-affiliated facility must be separated for at least 3 months before taking a travel assignment,

• Travelers may be assigned to float between multiple facilities across the state as needed,

• Compliance with scheduling and RTO policies is required; minimal RTO is preferred and all requests must be addressed before assignment confirmation,

• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility,

• Minimum of two recent supervisory references within the specialty is required for consideration,
