Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with at least one year of recent ICU experience and valid OK or compact licensure for a night shift assignment.

• Position is in the Medicine ICU of a hospital setting
• Night shift position with 12-hour shifts, three days per week
• Care for a variety of patients with complex medical conditions
• Provides patient care and monitors physiological data for assigned group of ICU patients
• Administers medications, initiates IV infusions, and monitors blood product administration
• Assists physicians in examinations and minor procedures
• Interacts with families, sharing care plans and discharge information
• Delegates appropriate tasks to support staff
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Up to one contract extension allowed for a maximum of 26 weeks; after which a 6-month separation period applies

• Active RN license from Oklahoma or a multistate compact (eNLC) required
• Minimum of 1 year recent ICU experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients
