Countertop Fabricator​/Polisher

Star Lumber & Supply Co., Inc. has a long and distinguished history of providing products for the commercial and residential construction industry. Star expanded into the Oklahoma market in 2007 with its flooring sales showroom and serves the region with the same focus on customer service that has made Star Lumber successful for over 80 years. Our Oklahoma City team has opened a new counter top fabrication facility, and we are searching for experienced counter top polishers/fabricators to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to work in a collaborative team environment to create an efficient and productive manufacturing operation.

• Load and unload pieces of stone countertops on and off carts.
• Operate hand polishers, grinders, and hand saws to achieve desired quality of finished goods.
• Visually inspect pieces for chips, scratches, lines, imperfections, and fix with polishing methods.
• Measure all pieces to make sure they match the templated measurements.
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace and perform regular equipment inspections and maintenance per manufacturer guidelines.
• Use basic computer programs to perform daily workflow scheduling.

• Ability to understand and observe all safety procedures and practices.
• Basic computer skills.
• Reliable transportation.

• Experience in a counter top manufacturing environment.
• Counter top polishing.
• Forklift experience.

This position will regularly lift 50 pounds individually and 100 pounds as part of a team lift. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, bend, and stoop. Regular exposure to cold, hot, wet, dry and/or humid conditions.
