About Children of America (COA)COA is a diverse and supportive organization dedicated to early childhood education. Our Assistant Teachers execute our curriculum alongside the Lead Teacher and a talented team of educators. Programs serve preschool children from 6 weeks to 12 years, including Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre‑K, Before and After Care, and Summer Camp.
Who will I interact with?Daily interactions include: the Lead Teacher, children, parents, the management team, and teaching staff.
Requirements- CDA (or related childcare degree) preferred.
- 6 months experience in a licensed childcare setting.
- Flexibility in challenging situations.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships.
- Commitment to professional development.
- Effective decision‑making skills.
- First Aid/CPR trained.
- Must meet all state requirements.
- Support the Lead Teacher in delivering daily lessons.
- Show willingness to grow into Lead Teacher roles.
- Communicate appropriately and professionally with parents and staff.
- Demonstrate excellent writing skills.
- Use technology to document and deliver child progress.
- Ensure a safe and structured learning environment.
- Show empathy toward children's emotions and parents' needs.
- Present age‑appropriate expectations.
- Be creative, passionate, and enjoy the work.

The hourly pay range is $13.00 to $17.00. Final compensation is based on experience, skills, location, and internal equity. Performance‑based incentives may also apply.
