Tuesday–Thursday 7:40am–5:00pm, Friday 8:00am–3:00pm, and some Mondays for training.

Dental Care of Edmond, a Heartland Dental Supported Practice and a "Growing Patient-Focused Doctor Office" is looking for a full-time experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment, a tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions. The test is arranged during the pre-employment process and not applicable in FL & TN where required.

More About the Role
  • Greet and welcome patients and educate throughout treatment
  • Review patient health history to provide quality care
  • Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.)
  • Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to supported dentists
  • Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping
  • Prepare treatment rooms per safety protocols (OSHA & CDC guidance)
  • Manage supply and inventory; place and expedite orders
  • Partner with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow
Minimum Qualifications

Education & Certifications
:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • State Issued Dental Assistant Permit & X-Ray Credentials
  • 2+ years of Dental Assistant experience
  • Dentrix or other dental software experience
Compliance & Confidentiality
  • Access to minimum PHI necessary for job duties; HIPAA training and data safeguards required
Dental Knowledge, Software & Experience
  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience
Business & Professional Skills
  • Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments
