We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to join our team in the OKC area. This role is responsible for the onsite production and successful execution of construction projects. This position will oversee subcontractors, manage quality assurance, ensure compliance with design documents, and maintain project schedules while upholding the highest safety and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce safety policies, including OSHA compliance and Project-Specific Safety Plans, to maintain zero-incident goals.
- Plan and supervise crew leaders and craft activities, including determining construction methods, manpower, materials, and schedules.
- Coordinate work across different crafts, departments, and contractors.
- Maintain open communication with the Owner, Design Team, and Project Manager to ensure alignment with project requirements and schedules.
- Develop and implement resolutions for construction challenges.
- Manage daily reporting on manpower, safety, progress, conditions, and material deliveries.
- Accurately document jobsite conditions and progress.
- Lead jobsite meetings and proactively manage construction schedules to anticipate upcoming activities.
- Administer subcontracts to ensure compliance with scope, terms, and conditions.
- Track and report jobsite productivity, including hours, resources, and deliveries.
- Collect and submit all project-related documentation, such as delivery tickets, receipts, and invoices.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent technical training and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in commercial construction.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction means, methods, scheduling, cost control, and managing large teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
- OSHA-30 certification obtained within the first 45 days of employment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to groups.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively address construction field issues.
Work Environment Requirements :
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Work environments include job trailers/offices, outdoor jobsites, and high elevations.
- Must be willing to work in extreme weather and travel or temporarily relocate for projects as needed.
