The position is for a Graduate Assistant/Proctor for the eLearning Testing Center. This role supports the daily operations of the testing center while contributing to the broader success of online, hybrid, and self-paced online courses. The Graduate Assistant will perform computer-based and customer service-related duties in an office setting, serving as a key point of contract for students and faculty members.
Typical duties may include but are not limited to proctoring exams in support of online and hybrid learning environments, ensuring testing integrity, adherence to institutional and departmental policies, and a secure, student-centered experience. The Graduate Assistant will provide exceptional customer service by assisting students, responding to inquiries via phone and email, and resolving technical or scheduling issues in a timely and professional manner.
In addition to proctoring, the role supports administrative and operational functions such as appointment scheduling, report preparation, document management, typing, filing, and phone support. The student will assist in data collection, data entry, data management, and basic analysis to support the eLearning Testing Center, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The position also includes administrative process maintenance using platforms such as Microsoft Bookings, Microsoft Forms, and other Microsoft 365 tools. Responsibilities may involve managing appointment workflows in Microsoft Bookings, creating and maintaining forms for data collection and surveys, organizing shared documentation, supporting reporting dashboards, and ensuring data accuracy and system efficiency. The Graduate Assistant may recommend and implement improvements to streamline administrative processes and enhance user experience.
While administrative and technical responsibilities may be involved, the primary focus remains on proctoring exams that support online learning environments and data tools and contributing to the systems that enhance student success and operational excellence.
Hours per Week
Up to 25 hours per week.

The Center for eLearning and Connected Environments (CeCE) is committed to supporting the design, development, and delivery of eLearning courses at the University of Central Oklahoma. Department Specific Job Functions
- This eLearning Testing Center position will provide assistance and support by proctoring computer exams and performing customer service-related duties in an office setting.
- Duties such as proctoring exams, answering phones, greeting visitors, data entry, data collection, data management, data analysis, creating reports, filing, scanning documents, answering questions, assisting the reception area, providing customer service to students, faculty and staff.
- Work on special projects as needed.
- Assist in documentation of project workflows and provide testing support for internal tools.
- Collaborate with administration to solve technical challenges.
- Other duties as assigned.
Fall/Spring Semesters:
All student employees must be enrolled at least half-time to be eligible to work any UCO student position. Half-time enrollment for fall/spring semesters is considered 5 hours for graduates and 6 hours for undergraduates. International students must be enrolled full-time to be eligible to work as a student employee. Full-time enrollment is 9 credit hours for graduates and 12 credit hours for undergraduates.
Summer Semester:
Student employees working regular student positions must be enrolled in at least 3 credit hours to be eligible to work during the summer. Students not enrolled in summer classes must be enrolled in fall classes in order to work during the summer, but they (and the department) will be required to pay FICA taxes.
