At a certain point, you stop asking whether a firm is good.
You start asking whether you could lead one like it.
This independent Edmond (OK) firm has built something solid. Loyal clients, recurring revenue, a team that stays, and growth that has been deliberate rather than chaotic.
The Owner is not hiring a Senior Tax Manager just to keep the wheels turning. They are thinking long term. They want someone who can sit at the center of the tax and accounting work, take real ownership, and help shape what the firm becomes next.
In this role, you are not hidden behind layers. You are close to leadership and close to clients. You will oversee complex review and planning work, act as a trusted adviser to long standing relationships, and have genuine influence over how the firm operates.
That includes- Seeing how the business runs commercially, not just technically
- Influencing systems, workflow, and how the team is structured
- Being part of decisions around direction and growth
For the right person, there is a clear path toward equity and succession. Not a vague promise. A real conversation with defined expectations tied to leadership, client ownership, and performance.
What you will be doing- Leading and reviewing complex individual, partnership, and corporate engagements
- Driving year round tax planning and advisory projects
- Supporting key clients with accounting oversight when needed
- Managing workflow through busy season with consistency
Mentoring staff and reinforcing a strong, professional culture - Strengthening client relationships through practical, commercial advice
A CPA with strong public accounting experience, confident at review level and comfortable leading client conversations. Someone who values stability but still wants influence. Someone thinking beyond compliance and toward firm leadership.
TimingIf you are seeing your current firm through busy season, that is respected. Plenty of senior professionals start conversations now and step across after 4/15. It keeps the transition professional and gives you a calmer runway over the summer before the fall deadlines.
If you want your next move to feel like a step toward leadership, not just another title, message me and we will keep it confidential.
