Position Summary

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting the accounting department through accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliation, and general administrative functions. This role ensures accurate financial processing, compliance with company policies, and timely resolution of accounting matters.

Schedule

Mon-Fri 8-5pm. On-site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and manage accounts payable, including vendor invoice entry, SAP processing for warehouse receipts, and timely vendor payments
  • Sort, scan, and distribute vendor invoices as needed
  • Research and respond to vendor payment inquiries
  • Manage accounts receivable, including posting remittances and processing customer credits
  • Research, analyze, and post credits to customer accounts
  • Review and verify invoice adjustments (pricing errors, returned products, etc.) ensuring proper and legible documentation
  • Audit product returns and review invoice adjustments for accuracy and proper documentation
  • Reconcile delivery routes and review driver paperwork to ensure accurate payment handling
  • Maintain financial controls and ensure compliance with company procedures
  • Maintain organized records and perform routine data entry and bookkeeping tasks
  • Assist with research projects and resolve outstanding accounting issues
  • Provide general administrative support and attend meetings as required
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
  • Perform other tasks and duties, as required by the needs of the business and as requested by the Division Controller.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–3+ years of accounts payable, accounts receivable, or related finance experience.
  • Hands‑on experience with SAP highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting best practices.
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex account issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas, and data analysis required)
