Truck Driver CDL A Solo

Position Description

Immediate opening for a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver at Ryder in Edison, NJ.

Pay: $1280 per week (or more).
Hourly Pay: $32.00 per hour;
Hours per week: 40 + hours;
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4:30 AM–7:00 AM.

• Deliver SOLO to: NJ, NY, CT, MA, PA, NH
• Route:
  Local Home Daily
• Tractor type: 26 ft truck, 53' dry van
• Equipment: pallet jack, lift gate, hand truck
• Endorsement:
  Hazmat required within 90 days of hire
• Freight type:
  Touch–HVAC

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and agency laws, regulations, and guidelines
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards and maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading of freight as required by the customer
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test, background and motor‑vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification for the last 3 years)
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Class A verifiable experience:
  • 9 months within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
