Registered Nurse - Respiratory - F/T Days at Hackensack Meridian Health – JFK University Medical Center, Edison, New Jersey.

• The Registered Nurse delivers nursing practices according to current evidence-based research, policies, and standards of care to ensure safe, individualized patient care.
• Directs and oversees care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
• Coordinates patient care and unit activities among nursing peers, physicians, and support services.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with age- and disease-specific considerations; collect comprehensive health data.
• Develop and coordinate a patient-/family-centered plan of care; communicate plans and status with patients, families, and the health care team.
• Provide patient/family education and ensure understanding; document and follow established protocols; ensure safety in medication administration with bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary discharge planning for safe transition of care.

• Minimum education:
  
  Associate degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing; BSN in progress or will be pursued within specified timelines per policy.
• Six months or more of relevant nursing experience or active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency Program.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, strong teamwork, and commitment to ongoing education; focus on high-quality, patient-centered care.
• National certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.
• Licenses/Certifications:
  
  Current and valid RN license for the location by date of hire; BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire.

• Minimum rate of $45.14 hourly. Benefits package includes health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits. Compensation may vary by market, experience, and other factors.
