We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Communications Lead to design and execute a holistic communications strategy for the clients’ Consumer Business Group, a strategic industry cluster serving leading global retailers, consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies, and travel/logistics firms.
As a key member of our business unit marketing & communications team, he/she will play an integral part in elevating the business group’s visibility and reputation by leading industry storytelling, crafting compelling narratives, enhancing thought leadership, fostering executive visibility, managing media relations activities, as well as supporting social media and internal communications initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Communications Strategy
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy for the business unit, ensuring alignment with both business priorities and organizational goals.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing insights and recommendations to strengthen engagement and communication effectiveness.
- Maintain consistent communication standards across all channels, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with the company brand guidelines.
- Storytelling & Thought Leadership
- Identify high impact stories from across the unit that can be showcased internally and externally.
- Utilize strong storytelling techniques to convey the value proposition, industry leadership, and innovative solutions.
- Develop and execute strategies to position the organizations' executives and subject matter experts as thought leaders in the market.
- Coach and guide leaders to enhance their executive presence, visibility, and communication effectiveness.
- Lead the creation, development, and dissemination of news, announcements, and business updates in collaboration with corporate communications, marketing, client teams, and business leadership.
- Produce high quality content tailored to diverse audiences, including customers, partners, media, and internal stakeholders.
- Manage content development projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and editorial excellence.
- Review, refine, and approve communication materials to uphold accuracy, clarity, consistency, and professionalism.
- Collaborate with internal content creators to elevate the impact and effectiveness of all communication outputs.
- Media Relations & External Communications
- Oversee the business unit’s global media relations strategy, working closely with regional and corporate communications teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key journalists, media representatives, and business partners.
- Manage proactive and reactive press activities, ensuring visibility and reputation management.
- Lead the planning and execution of PR strategies for industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
- Manage media engagement and press coverage for events to maximize visibility and audience reach.
- Develop event specific communication materials, including press kits, speeches, talking points, and presentations.
- Stakeholder Management
- Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business leaders, communications partners and industry collaborators.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across the company's industry units and partner organizations.
- Ensure transparent and timely information flow, supporting alignment and shared understanding across teams.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in communications, media relations, and social media management.
- Proven track record of delivering high-impact internal and external communications within large, complex organizations.
- Well-established relationships with U.S. media and hands‑on experience managing press engagement and publications.
- Advanced expertise in social media strategy, analytics, and content governance, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
- Strong leadership and project management capabilities, with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders.
- Exceptional English writing, editing, and presentation skills, with a keen eye for clarity and narrative flow.
- Ability to translate complex IT and technology concepts into clear, accessible messages for broad audiences.
- Extensive experience in event‑related PR and media coordination, ensuring strong visibility and coverage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field;
Master’s degree preferred.
