Data Scientist – Contract (potential permanent)

Location:

Edison, New Jersey (hybrid: on‑site two days a week). The role is a contract with opportunity to transition to a permanent position.

• Develop and implement AI‑driven use cases aligned with organizational goals.
• Design and optimize data strategies using platforms such as Databricks and Informatica.
• Collaborate with data engineers, business stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams to create scalable AI/ML solutions.
• Evaluate and enhance data pipelines to ensure efficient AI model deployment.
• Stay informed on the latest AI advancements and recommend innovative approaches to improve business operations.
• Provide guidance on data governance, ensuring adherence to best practices for data quality and security.
• Translate business challenges into actionable AI solutions that drive results.
• Support the integration of advanced analytics frameworks into existing systems and processes.

• Proven experience developing AI/ML solutions and data strategies.
• Proficiency with Databricks and Informatica platforms.
• Strong knowledge of AI frameworks, data architecture, and analytics tools.
• Expertise in programming languages such as Python and frameworks like Apache Spark.
• Familiarity with ETL processes, including Extract, Transform, Load operations.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Hadoop and Apache Kafka.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Preferred: degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
