Materials​/Surgery Center Assistant

Same Day Surgery Center of Central Jersey has an immediate need for a part‑time Materials/Surgery Center Assistant!

The Materials/Surgery Center Assistant will support procurement, inventory, and distribution of surgical and medical supplies, maintaining supply chain efficiency and ensuring availability of necessary materials.

• Assist in ordering, receiving, and stocking medical and surgical supplies.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular audits to track supply levels.
• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost‑effective procurement.
• Monitor and manage supply usage, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining the storage areas for optimal efficiency.
• Work closely with the Materials Manager to ensure compliance with facility policies and regulations.
• Process invoices, purchase orders, and related documentation accurately and promptly.
• Support clinical and administrative staff with supply‑related inquiries and requests.
• Ensure proper disposal of expired or damaged supplies in accordance with regulations.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
• Basic knowledge of supply chain and purchasing processes in a healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and inventory management systems.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift and move supplies as needed (up to 50 lbs).

Pay Range: $25.00/hr - $30.00/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
