Materials/Surgery Center AssistantThe Materials/Surgery Center Assistant will support procurement, inventory, and distribution of surgical and medical supplies, maintaining supply chain efficiency and ensuring availability of necessary materials.
Responsibilities- Assist in ordering, receiving, and stocking medical and surgical supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular audits to track supply levels.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost‑effective procurement.
- Monitor and manage supply usage, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining the storage areas for optimal efficiency.
- Work closely with the Materials Manager to ensure compliance with facility policies and regulations.
- Process invoices, purchase orders, and related documentation accurately and promptly.
- Support clinical and administrative staff with supply‑related inquiries and requests.
- Ensure proper disposal of expired or damaged supplies in accordance with regulations.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
- Basic knowledge of supply chain and purchasing processes in a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and inventory management systems.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift and move supplies as needed (up to 50 lbs).
Pay Range: $25.00/hr - $30.00/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
