Job SummaryThe Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
Qualifications- High School diploma or GED required
- Completion of a Sterile Process Certification Program
- CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred
- 1–2 years of Sterile Processing experience
- Experience with all types of sterilizers
- Knows operating room instrumentation
- Understands operation of steam/gravity sterilizer
- Understands Sterrad sterilizers
- Ability to prepare reports and keep records
- Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items required
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed
- Excellent team player with strong communication skills with staff, patients and physicians
$25.00/hr–$34.00/hr (wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
