Non-Credit Instructor - Film Academy

The Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning Department at Middlesex College invites applications for a part-time, non-credit instructors to teach the following courses:

• Script to Screen:
  Introduction to the Entertainment Industry
• Introduction to Production Office:
  Production Coordinating and Management
• Introduction to Production Accounting for Film and Television
• Introduction to Location Management
• Introduction to Set Construction, Scenic Painting, and Set Dressing
• Introduction to Hair and Makeup for Film and Television
• Introduction to Set Lighting and the Electric Department
• Costuming for Film and Television
• Grip and Rigging for Film and Television

Important:
Please note that a non-credit instructor is not an adjunct position. Successful candidates teach courses in the Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning Department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Fine Arts (or significant relevant industry experience)
• Academic and/or practical experience in an art discipline relating to Film and Television
• Previous teaching experience
• Experience teaching adult learners
• Ability to teach evenings, weekends, or days in Edison, New Brunswick, or Perth Amboy

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's Degree in Fine Arts
• Teaching and/or experience in the field preferred
• Experience teaching in higher education

WDLL is current seeking instructors to teach in person, day or evening at the Edison, New Brunswick, and Perth Amboy campuses for Film Academy courses.
