Driver Hire Edinburgh City is recruiting Class 2 (Category

C) HGV Drivers to support our long-standing removals and relocation clients across Edinburgh.

This is an ad-hoc position
, ideal for drivers who value flexibility. There are also opportunities to pick up additional Class 2 work across our wider client base to help maintain consistent earnings.

Our removals clients are professional, well‑organised, and known for their supportive working environments. They're looking for reliable, practical drivers who take pride in delivering excellent customer service.

• Driving a Class 2 vehicle in and around Edinburgh, with occasional UK-wide runs
• Assisting with the safe loading and unloading of furniture and household goods
• Supporting customers during what can often be a busy or stressful time
• Working closely with an experienced removals team to ensure smooth, efficient moves
• Handling all items with care, professionalism, and attention to detail

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category
  
  C) licence
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• Good level of physical fitness (manual handling involved)
• A positive, team‑oriented attitude
• Removals experience beneficial but not essential - full training provided

Basic Rate:

• £14.00 per hour (excluding holiday pay)
• £15.69 per hour (including advanced holiday pay)

Overtime (after 8 hours per day):

• £18.66 per hour (excluding holiday pay)
• £20.91 per hour (including advanced holiday pay)
