Staff Engineer; Backend

We run the world s largest independent consumer review platform and are seeking a Staff Engineer in the Consumer space to shape user experiences across multiple teams.

We are an Engineering team of about 100 with offices in Copenhagen, London, and Edinburgh. You can work from the office, flex, or remotely (Denmark or UK). We will help you set up your workstation and connect with your team.

• Lead the delivery of major initiatives, balancing timely delivery with sustainable engineering practices
• Coordinate the work of various teams into a cohesive plan aligned with company goals, milestones, and user experience standards
• Leverage your skill set to improve Trustpilot s capabilities in your domain
• Develop and share strategies to ensure quality, production readiness, scalability, and health of apps and systems
• Identify and mitigate high-risk elements of projects, communicating issues, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders
• Collaborate with engineering leadership and staff engineers to recruit, develop, and support engineers
• Mentor and disseminate knowledge on technologies, standards, and best practices
• Cultivate a collaborative environment and listen to diverse perspectives to reach shared goals

• Several years of Backend Software Engineering experience at Senior, Principal, or Staff level
• Deep knowledge of Java script/Typescript-based full-stack service/microservice development (e.g., Node.js)
• Extensive experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS), message queues (e.g., SQS), and databases (e.g., Dynamo
  
  DB)
• Experience with modern frontend technologies (e.g., React, Vue.js)
• Ability to develop and execute strategic plans and deliver scalable systems
• Strong Agile methodology knowledge and stakeholder management across multiple functions
• Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical decisions pragmatically
• Customer-centric, solution-oriented mindset with bias toward action and strong communication skills
• Exposure to or experience with app development (iOS, Android, cross-platform)
