Salary: £14.02p/h - £21.65p/h

About the Role

We are currently recruiting Homeless Wardens to support vulnerable individuals experiencing homelessness within supported accommodation in Edinburgh.

This is a rewarding role for compassionate, resilient individuals who want to make a genuine difference to people’s lives while working within established health and social care services.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide day-to-day support to individuals experiencing homelessness

* Maintain a safe, supportive, and respectful living environment

* Carry out regular welfare checks and health & safety monitoring

* Support residents with daily living skills, routines, and resettlement goals

* De-escalate challenging behaviour and manage incidents professionally

* Accurately record observations and report concerns to senior staff

* Work collaboratively with housing officers, healthcare professionals, and support services

* Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and organisational policies at all times

Essential Requirements

* Previous experience working with vulnerable adults (homelessness, mental health, substance misuse, or similar)

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations

* Basic IT skills for report writing and record keeping

* Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends

Successful shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a teams call/face to face with 21

HSC staff then an in-person interview at the organisation.
