Location: City of Edinburgh

To provide comprehensive operational support to the team

Assisting in other general duties as requested by Senior Management and working towards streamlining processes

Main Duties:

  • Ensuring your SIA license is always with you whilst on duty and any changes to license details are communicated.
  • To carry out all procedures as laid out in the Assignment Instruction
  • To lock and unlock the site as and when requested.
  • Support for Event set up , movement of furnishings and escorting equipment
  • Assist in the emergency evacuation of the as required.
  • To liaise with emergency services when needed
  • Providing guidance and requests to Security officers
  • To assist, in the common areas, any retail unit security with any stops they make
  • To administer First Aid as and when required & To attend all training and development courses as instructed
  • The ability to identify and escalation matters which require remedial action is critical in this role
  • Liaising and maintaining close working relationships with All Guest Service teams
  • To report any defect and/or incident to the Mall Supervisor, and carry out any required investigation
  • To provide holiday and sickness cover as required
  • Any other tasks/activities required

To be successful in the role, you will need:

  • Previous experience of working within Security
  • Experience of working within both a reactive and proactive environment (essential)
  • Operational experience (preferred)
  • Door Supervisor SIA
  • First Aid

  • Ability to deescalate situations as part of SIA training and experience.
  • Able to work as part of a team and on own
  • Happy with understanding when attention to detail is required but can also grasp the bigger picture.
  • Proactive, methodical, and analytical nature
  • Adaptable and rational
  • Excellent problem-solving skills along with the ability to identify and escalation matters which require remedial action.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills
