The Role

As a Business Development Executive, you will play a key role in driving project‑based sales and growing TOA’s footprint across major Fire & Security distributors, integrators, audio specialists, M&E consultants, and end‑users.

Your mission:

✔Develop new business opportunities

✔Strengthen relationships with existing accounts

✔Position TOA as the solution of choice through technical expertise and market insight

This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role ideal for someone who thrives on building partnerships, solving problems, and delivering high‑quality, profitable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grow, manage, and develop an established portfolio of ~70 accounts while proactively sourcing high‑quality new customers.
  • Build robust project pipelines and successfully specify TOA solutions with consultants and system designers.
  • Interpret architectural drawings and tender documents to create winning proposals.
  • Collaborate with technical colleagues to design tailored Commercial Audio, IP Audio and Voice Evacuation solutions.
  • Deliver CPD presentations to M&E consultants and provide product training to Fire & Security integrators.
  • Respond to enquiries via email, phone, and face‑to‑face meetings.
  • Provide structured account support and coordinate with internal sales, marketing, and technical teams.
  • Monitor market activity, competitor offerings, and customer needs to feed into product and strategy discussions.
  • Attend regional, national, and international trade events to represent the TOA brand.
  • Continue developing your technical and commercial skills through ongoing training.

    • Experience in the Fire & Security market is highly desirable.
    • Comfortable interpreting tender specifications and technical documentation.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word; Access a bonus).
    • Strong grasp of basic business finance (margin, cash flow, terms, etc.).
    • Flexible to travel throughout the UK for customer visits and industry events.
